#Cinema Mode

Cinema Mode turns GlobalQuake into a hands-free monitoring display. The globe automatically rotates and zooms to focus on significant earthquakes as they are detected, making it ideal for background monitoring or livestream setups.

#What is Cinema Mode

When active, Cinema Mode continuously scans for earthquakes that meet alert criteria and smoothly transitions the camera to focus on each one. It prioritizes the earthquake with the highest alert level, ensuring the most important events are always front and center.

If jumpToAlert is enabled, the globe will also jump to any earthquake that triggers an alert notification.

#Using Cinema Mode

When you manually navigate with the keyboard, cinema mode deactivates so you can freely explore the globe.

#Configuration

Cinema mode behavior is controlled through several settings accessible in the properties panel:

Adjust these values to suit your monitoring preferences. A longer switch time gives more time to observe each event, while a larger zoom multiplier provides a wider view of the surrounding region.
